May 22, 2014 | By More

We all want to eat healthy, but there are times when we just want tasty snacks. Although making healthy dips is relatively easy, finding healthy snack ideas can be a bit of a challenge. In this short video I will share a brand of healthy crackers I found recently as well as a few ideas to use them at home:

Hi, Lyn Ashby here from

Quote about healthy cracker ideasToday I want to show you a great find that I just discovered at my local co-op and they are called Mary’s Gone Crackers.

I don’t know about you, but I love entertaining. When I entertain I like to start off with nibbles and some dips and some crackers and I find that it is real easy to make great healthy dips that everyone loves whether they are into healthy food or not.

You can make awesome guacamole, salsa or hummus. There is no end to the healthy dips you can make. But, it is a matter of finding things to have with them.

Quote about healthy cracker ideasAlthough you can provide healthy chopped up veggies, for me, it is not really what I want with my dip. I like crackers, and most of the crackers in the market are just rubbish. They are highly processed and often include trans-fats, sugar, salt, hidden additives, colors, preservatives, they have got all sorts of horrific stuff that I don’t want.

The other side of the coin is so many of the healthy crackers just don’t taste good. But I found “Mary’s Gone Crackers” and they are great. They have got organic whole grain brown rice, organic quinoa, organic flax seeds, organic sesame seeds, wheat free tamari, water, organic soybeans, organic alcohol and organic vinegar.

So, all the ingredients are organic but the best part is they taste fantastic. They are kind of strange looking but they are delicious. They have a perfect dipping size and a tasty nutty flavor. Every dinner guests we have had that has tried them has absolutely loved them.

That’s my find of the week, bye for now. Lyn Ashby here from
